Paper Cut-Out Animation Workshop

Service Description

In this hands-on 7 week class, local filmmaker, and animator Tim Smyth will teach the basics of animated filmmaking. Students as a group will make all the characters, props, and sets out of paper, and animate them in stop motion. It will be a Halloween themed project, so the characters would be skeletons, Jack-O- Lanterns, bats, and the like. We will record sound on the 6th class, and the finished piece will have a big premiere for family, friends, and anyone else who wants to show up, on the 7th and final class. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYd4XRCg8-o Ages 8-16. Class is limited to 10 with a minimum of 4 participants for the class to run. We reserve the right to cancel the course if the minimum number of participants is not met.
