About the event
En plein air (French for "outdoors") is the practice of painting landscapes directly on-site to capture immediate, natural light and atmosphere. Popularized by Impressionists and enabled by portable paint tubes in the 1870s, this method focuses on rapid, alla prima(one-sitting) techniques.
Our instructors:
Jerie Artz will be instructing watercolor
Christine Arruda will be instructing acrylic/oils/gouache
The workshop will be at the home of Jerie Artz at The Artz Marsh behind her home
